East Midlands Region Christmas Lunch 2014

After the highs of 2013 with the Lions and The Ashes, 2014 has been a more sombre year with defeat in Australia, and no trophies for our local cricket teams. On the football front Leicester has waved the flag for the East Midlands but all the other clubs have made progress. Our lunch to be hosted once again by Darren Bicknell who is now our Christmas regular, will be introducing some local sporting stars who will share their experiences with us.

Following on with the football and cricket theme we are delighted that Mark Arthur, formerly Chief Executive at Nottingham Forest and prior to that Chief Executive at Trent Bridge, has agreed to speak to us. Mark is now Chief Executive at Yorkshire County Cricket Club, and in that role faces many opportunities and issues. It will be interesting to hear his views on the challenges facing both cricket and football outside the Premier League.
