With its choice of castles, caves and courtrooms, Nottinghamshire is the perfect destination if you’re looking for something a little different for your next event. Our range of unique venues offer everything you need to make an occasion memorable, whether you are organising a conference, team away day or fairy tale wedding.
Located just a five minute walk from the train station and Lace Market tram stop, the Galleries of Justice Museum is one of the city’s most fascinating venues. The atmospheric former court and gaol house can accommodate up to 430 guests when you book the entire building – but there are also plenty of rooms for smaller events, including the impressive Civil Court Room for up to 200 guests, the Grand Jury Room for 80 and the boutique Advocate Suite for 25. As well as weddings and private functions, the museum has also hosted events for firms such as Boots and Experian.
Of course, the Galleries of Justice Museum has all the usual features you’d expect from a modern conference facility including free Wi-Fi and AV equipment, but it also has plenty of activities to keep your delegates entertained such as character-led tours, mock trials, Victorian murder mysteries, Medieval Sheriff’s Banquets and much more.
Maša Prastalo, who is Hospitality and Events Sales Manager at Galleries, says:
It’s a venue like no other. The Galleries provides a talking point for delegates and it’s a real ice breaker. The courtroom is really unique because most people only see them on television. It really adds to the event. We really pride ourselves on our customer service and attention to detail because we care about our guests and their experience here.
The Galleries of Justice also offers a range of catering options, which can be adapted for different occasions and for people with special dietary requirements. And because the Galleries of Justice is a registered charity which specialises in educating youngsters, you’ll also be helping to fulfil your company’s corporate social responsibility by booking an event there.
In addition, you can go along to regular networking events such as Unique Connections, which brings together members of the business community and is known for its interesting speakers.
