This week our team visited the lovely Eastwood Hall to talk to Elizabeth Harwood, regional director of sales for the venue, about the conferencing and events season and the successes the wonderful team have achieved.

What is the maximum capacity for an event or conference at Eastwood Hall?

“Eastwood Hall boasts 36 flexible meeting spaces, with a maximum capacity of 400 Delegates. The venue is set within 26 acres of beautiful countryside yet situated just 5 miles from the M1. We offer everything you need for your next corporate or business event in Nottingham”!

What are the sustainability and environmental benefits of holding a conference or event at Eastwood Hall?

“Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We have a climate promise to become net zero by 2027 and with this introduced our ‘Meetings for Change’ sustainable event packages.

We also have a Green Tourism Silver Accreditation and are actively working towards the Gold award, this is visible when onsite at the venue, from QR code menus and our carbon labelled dishes to our onsite aerated compost system for food waste”.

What does the rest of 2024 look like for Eastwood Hall, and do you have any event predictions?

“I wouldn’t like to predict anything! However, I can say following the impact of Covid – 19 and our refurbishment in 2022 we are in a good place and I’m excited to see what the future holds for the venue and the incredible team here”.

What awards or accreditations has Eastwood Hall achieved in previous years?

“Referring back to our focus on sustainability, in 2022 we won the Environmental Impact Award in the Nottinghamshire Business Awards and were a finalist again in 2023!

This is something that we are really proud of because it shows that our hard work has really paid off and it’s great that this is being recognised across the County”.

How long have you been in the role and what does your typical day look like?

“I have been in the role for three years now, my day can really vary that’s why I love my job. One day I can be based in the office and the next day I can be in fancy dress attending agency and client networking events”.

Is there anything else you’d like people to know about the venue or the team who work there?

“The team at Eastwood Hall are amazing, we have some really long standing members of the team and their dedication and love for the venue really shows”!
